About This Seminar

Summer is right around the corner. Are you making plans? Summer reading plans, that is. Children can lose ground educationally during the summer months, and you are the key to minimizing or eliminating a loss of reading skills in your children. In this seminar, Nancy Lohr will share insights, information, and ideas gleaned from years in the classroom, as a school librarian, and as a mother and grandmother of happy readers.

Nancy Lohr

Nancy Lohr, Acquistions Editor at JourneyForth Books, acquires books for both the youth and adult markets. She has fifteen years of experience in book publishing and was an educator and children’s librarian for two decades before moving to publishing.

As an editor, Nancy’s responsibilities range from acquiring manuscripts and illustrations, editing the manuscript, and managing book production. As an author, her personal writing resumé includes a number of published pieces, including two historical novels for children, curriculum stories, Newbery book reviews, and numerous articles for parents and educators.
