About This Seminar

It’s easy to teach literature at home by reading stories, learning literary vocabulary, and answering comprehension questions. Some Christian homeschoolers attempt to connect Scripture and literature but feel that their attempts are superficial. In this CHART seminar Mark explains how developing the tools of the literary discipline relate to the study of God’s Word. Home educators will also learn how reading and writing literature can be used to love God and our neighbors. Finally, this seminar will explain how you can read, evaluate, and rebuild anti-Christian literature for God’s glory.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to

  • Describe how literary genres are key to interpreting the Bible accurately
  • Use literature as a tool for obeying God’s original commands for us
  • Evaluate the statement “There is no neutral way to write or evaluate literature”
